Construction Administration

The contractor has been selected, the permit has been issued and construction has been started. The building inspector is not responsible for anything more than to verify that the building is constructed to safe standards. Quality control of the project is the responsibility of the owner. It is often advisable to have a person to oversee the construction and verify that all the materials that you contracted for are used and that all of the details are followed. Construction Administration is not neccessarily full time supervision of the project, most of the time it involves scheduled visits after materials have arrived and when different stages of construction are being performed or completed.
